At Mebiose, the board changes every year. This creates dynamism, a new vision, new plans and new ideas. Sometimes these are plans that you can’t get done in one year. Therefore, a multi-year policy plan has been created, which can be worked on over several years, in order to still be able to realize the plans. The Working Group ‘Advice, Guidance, Vision, Innovation and Structure’, or wALVIS, consists primarily of Chairs and vice-Chairs and meets together to discuss association policy. wALVIS is also a sparring body for the Chair to provide him or her with advice regarding the ins and outs of the association. The experience of former board members can help to make the right choices and to move with the times, but keep the identity of Mebiose, or: change your leaves, but keep your roots intact.
