During the Special Members Meeting (BLV) on June 12th, 2025, the annual board change of the M.B.V. Mebiose took place. On this festive occasion, the XXXIXth board handed over the baton to the brand-new XLth board. The XXXIXth board worked tremendously hard for our association during the 2024–2025 board year. They organized countless wonderful activities, dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to the education of our students, and in doing so greatly contributed to the student life of our members. For this, the XLth board would like to once again extend their heartfelt thanks.
During the BLV, Timo Zeelen presented the ab Actial annual report, highlighting all the memorable moments of the board year. After this, it was time for the XLth board to introduce themselves through a reveal video. This was followed by Roos Toussaint’s farewell speech, in which she addressed each of her fellow board members personally. The XXXIXth board also looked back on their year with a video, after which the time came for questions from the members, where the board was once again thanked for their dedication during their board year.
After a short recess, it was time for the actual transfer. After Roos had struck out each of her fellow board members, perhaps the most significant gavel strike of the meeting followed. With one TOCK, she struck herself out, and Tim Groenendijk in, as Chair of the M.B.V. Mebiose. After this, it was Tim’s turn to ceremonially “strike in” his fellow board members. The XLth board then presented their working groups and a number of committees. Following the questions directed at the XLth board, Tim closed the BLV with a gavel strike, thus marking the official start of the XLth board’s year in office.
The XLth board has only just completed its first weeks, but will also continue during the summer break to learn all the ins and outs of their roles. We are very excited to represent our association throughout the 2025–2026 board year and greatly look forward to all the knowledge and experience we will gain. For now, we wish you a pleasant and well-deserved summer holiday, and we look forward to seeing you again after the break in the Mebiose room and at our activities. We are also eager to welcome the upcoming first-year students during the introduction week. We are excited to get to know you and to introduce you to our wonderful association.
